SIG-AR is an Augmented Reality application developed on Android by six students from the Ecole Centrale (Nantes, France). Designed to help architects show their ideas, it brings 3D models to life in a very easy way. With SIG-AR, your environment becomes more than reality. It is now your field of expression.
With SIG-AR, your Android device can : - fetch 3D models from a remote database - display 3D models on assigned GPS coordinates - edit on-site your models geographical information to handle GPS errors, or to put your creation at the best place.
SIG-AR is also a complete stand-alone suite: built as a Google SketchUp plugin and an Android app, it gives you complete control of the whole workflow from the creation of your model, to the on-site visualization.
SIG-AR is a GNU GPL project based on the HitLabNZ
Outdoor AR library and the following technologies :
- Ruby, HTML/JavaScript/CSS/PHP and PostgreSQL for
the Google SketchUp Plugin
- Java with the Android API for the mobile app
